My last morning in Venice was perfect. The rain finally completely stopped and I went on an early run through the city.  I'm really not much of a runner (I get bored about a mile in haha), but being alone with my thoughts and the city was complete bliss.

Fond memories from cruising on the Amazon:
-watching the sun set over the river
-laying out on the deck and star gazing
-watching lightning in a creepy and cool way illuminate the tree line

Not so fond memories
-being terrified of bugs that were like the size of my face haha

Sunset Sunday: Belmar Marina

August 2014 - Belmar, NJ

This sunset yesterday was one of the prettiest ones I've seen in awhile. My friend Kim visited this weekend so I took her around to see all the wonders Dirty Jerz has to offer. Yesterday we took a trip to the shore, and today we went hiking near the Delaware River Gap. At the beach, it was too cold and windy for laying around so we had some fun with my iphone's burst mode and jumping pictures. After a delicious dinner of tacos at Cielito Lindo (the horchata there is amazing too), we stopped by the pier to catch this sunset.

After getting our fill of the beach, we left Montezuma for some cloud forest action in Monteverde. On the bumpy ride up the mountain, I haphazardly stuck my camera out the window to catch the sun going down on the Gulf of Nicoya.

It rained on and off the entire time I was in Venice, but on the last afternoon the sky finally opened up. Liza and I were down in the Dorsoduro area getting gelato, but with the sight of blue skies we hauled our butts to the Rialto bridge and were blessed with this gorgeous view.
